SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Sail Internet, a fiber and fixed wireless internet service provider serving the Bay Area, has been approved to connect to the City of Palo Alto’s Dark Fiber Network. The approval allows Sail to deliver dedicated business internet service to companies throughout Palo Alto using the City’s fiber infrastructure as the underlying connection.
“Being approved to connect to Palo Alto’s Dark Fiber Network gives us another way to deliver dedicated internet service, with speeds up to 100Gbps, to businesses throughout the City,” said Kevin Fisher, COO for Sail Internet.
The City of Palo Alto licenses dark fiber to qualified providers on a nonexclusive basis; inclusion on the City’s provider list does not constitute an endorsement of service availability, pricing, or performance.
